Living Neon Dreams er titlen på en moderne version af Alice i Eventyrland. Filmen har netop fået Nia Vardalos i den centrale hovedrolle som et offer for en trafikulykke. Vores stakkels heltinde er godt nok røget i koma, men hendes hjerne sender hende ind i en fantasiverden, så vi skal undgår et trist drama om en kriseramt familie.
Vardalos skal dog ikke spille Alice – den rolle er gået til den relativt ukendte A.J. Cook (The Virgin Suicides, Final Destination 2). Andre deltagere i eventyret bliver Alan Cumming, Daryl Hannah, Jonathan Pryce og Marilyn Manson! Den karismatiske musiker har ligefrem fået rollen som den onde dronning Hjerter Dame.
Indie-dramaet, der er skrevet og skal instrueres af Jeremy Tarr, skal indspilles allerede i denne måned.

With a nod to Alice in Wonderland, a girl enters a fantasy land after a car accident sends her into a coma.
Vardalos is joining Alan Cumming, Marilyn Manson, Daryl Hannah and Jonathan Pryce are joining the cast of the independent feature Living in Neon Dreams, the first feature by writer/director Jeremy Tarr.
The film is described as a modern-day retelling of Alice in Wonderland in which
a girl enters a fantasy land after a car accident puts her into a coma. The
actors will play multiple roles, appearing in both the real world and the fantasy
world.
